Publisher: Zero Light Syndicate LLC
Publication: Urban Chart
Website: urbanchartmedia.com
Public contact: contact@urbanchartmedia.com

Urban Chart is an independent sports-media publication operated by Zero Light Syndicate LLC. This policy explains the limited information the publication processes and the choices available to visitors.

Information we collect

Our hosting, security, content, and embedded-media providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. If you send a correction or contact us, we process the information you submit for that purpose. Urban Chart does not offer visitor accounts, newsletter signup, purchases, or paid subscriptions at launch.

How we use information

We use information to deliver and secure the website, provide approved editorial content and media, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Urban Chart does not sell personal information.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Urban Chart uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website use and performance, including visits, page views, popular pages, referral sources, general device and browser categories, country-level geography, page-load performance, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage and is designed not to collect or use visitors’ personal data for these measurements. Urban Chart does not use this service to identify individual visitors or track them across websites.

No advertising pixels, behavioral advertising, visitor accounts, commerce, or paid subscriptions are active. Beehiiv newsletter collection is disabled. Urban Chart does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not currently respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals because it does not perform that tracking. Essential security, delivery, and aggregate measurement technologies may operate without being used for advertising.

Service providers and embedded media

The approved launch configuration uses Cloudflare for domain services, DNS, TLS and security, static-site delivery, and forwarding messages sent to the public contact address. Sanity provides the public editorial-content dataset and image delivery. Approved YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced, click-to-load embeds and YouTube-hosted thumbnails. A platform may receive technical information when a visitor chooses to load or follow an embed. Native Instagram or TikTok embeds may be used only when a specific approved item is added; neither is included in the initial launch package. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.

GitHub stores the private website source and is not a visitor-facing service. Beehiiv infrastructure exists separately but does not collect information through this website while the newsletter integration remains disabled.

Retention and security

Ordinary contact and privacy-request records are retained for up to 24 months after the request is closed. Correction requests, the verification record, and the resulting editorial decision are retained while the related content remains published and for three years after its removal. Records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for an active legal hold, dispute, security investigation, or legal obligation, and should be deleted earlier when they are no longer needed. If Urban Chart learns that a contact request contains personal information submitted by a child under 13, the information will be deleted promptly after a permitted one-time response, or promptly without responding, unless retention is required by law.

Service providers apply their own retention rules. Sanity Free keeps the current editorial documents and provides a limited revision-history window, currently three days. Cloudflare documents that Web Analytics keeps unsampled beacon data for seven days, then retains a reduced aggregate dataset for longer-term reporting; the Web Analytics dashboard currently makes the previous six months available. Cloudflare account audit logs are currently retained for 18 months, while traffic, security, delivery, and other product data follow the applicable Cloudflare service rules. YouTube and Google control records created through their platform and embedded player. Urban Chart does not use a paid provider archive or claim that it can shorten provider-controlled records.

Urban Chart uses access controls and operational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Visitors may decline to load optional embedded media. Depending on applicable law, visitors may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other action concerning personal information. Requests may be sent to contact@urbanchartmedia.com. Urban Chart may need to verify a requester’s identity before acting on a request.

Children’s privacy

Urban Chart is a general-audience sports publication and is not directed to children under 13. The publication does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact Urban Chart for review and deletion.

Changes and contact

Material policy changes will be posted with a revised effective date. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to contact@urbanchartmedia.com. Requests are handled by ZLS Editorial Operations and escalated to ZLS Executive when legal, security, safety, or material reputational review is required.
